Ashbury Alligators Parent Worker Responsibilities: In order to run successful swim meets, the help and cooperation of our swim team families is vital. It takes approx. 50 people at home meets and 30 at away meets to make everything run smoothly. It is imperative that everyone show up to work their assignement and floater position. Substitutes: It is your responsibility to find a substitute if you can’t work one of your assigned meets. If you would like to hire a substitute for a small fee, please visit the Worker Substitutes page where you will find a list of individuals interested in working jobs. Please give them a call, make arrangements, and then let us know of the change at workers@ashburyalligators.com. Or, if you would like to trade your job assignment with someone else, please visit the Work Exchange page to look for possible exchanges. To add your information to the worker exchange page, please e-mail us at workers@ashburyalligators.com Signing-In: All workers must sign no later than a half hour before the start of the meet, 5:00pm for weekday meets and 8:00am for Saturday meets. It is important that you sign in for yourself even if you are late, or send word with another adult that you are coming. Unfortunately, we cannot have children sign in for you. 100% Focus: Workers need to be focused 100% on their assigned job. Please plan for childcare during your work schedule accordingly as children cannot be with you when you are working a meet. City and Classic Meets: In addition, parent volunteers are required for the City and Classic meets. You will be required to work in the meet that your child participates in. Missed Meets: If you miss working a meet, there will be consequences which will vary in severity depending upon the circumstances and whether or not you made proper notifications. YOUR CHILD(REN) MAY BE SCRATCHED FROM A MEET, and you will need to work one of the jobs of the Floater who worked for you in your absence. You may have to work a meet in which your child does not swim, to make up for your missed duties. 2nd OFFENSES WILL RESULT IN REMOVAL FROM SWIM TEAM. |
